MINSK, 1 August (BelTA) – Belarus raised minimum subsistence budget on 1 August 2024. The new minimum subsistence budget will be valid until 31 October 2024,
BelTA has learned.
The new minimum subsistence budget on average per capita is set at Br433, which is 3.4% higher than the minimum subsistence budget which was in effect from 1 May 2024.
The minimum subsistence budget across the main social and demographic groups is as follows: Br462.26 for the able-bodied population, Br314.13 for pensioners, Br273.78 for children under 3, Br365.55 for children aged between 3 and 6, Br428.23 for children aged between 6 and 18.
Various allowances and increases that make part of the social security system and also certain social payments tied to the minimum subsistence rate have been also revised upwards.
