Golovchenko to take part in CIS Heads of Government Council meeting in Ashgabat

MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) – Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko will take part in the meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, BelTA has learned.

According to the press service of the government, during the working visit Roman Golovchenko is set to have a one-on-one meeting with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The press service of the CIS Executive Committee informed that the draft agenda for the CIS Heads of Government Council meeting includes 12 issues. During a narrow-format discussion, the Council members will review economic interaction in the Commonwealth. The broad-format talks are to focus on the draft cooperation concept in the energy sector and its implementation plan, as well as the action plan to optimize infrastructure and develop international transport corridors passing through the territories of the CIS member states.

In addition, the participants of the meeting are to adopt a number of cooperation documents in the field of healthcare, chemical industry, hazardous waste management and protection of intellectual property rights. There are plans to declare Ashgabat the City of New Sports Opportunities of the Commonwealth.
