BARANOVICHI DISTRICT, 24 September (BelTA) - There can be no talk of any victory or war without drones today, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said during his working trip to Obuz-Lesnovsky military exercise area on 24 September, BelTA has learned.
According to the head of state stated that modern warfare is a war of drones. “We can all see now that drones have ushered in a new era of warfare. Drones can already chase down individual soldiers,” he said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko added that drone drills should replicate real combat situations. “Everything should be close to real-life scenarios. There should be no showing off. I do not need it,” the president said.
The head of state was shown domestic drone technology, both novelties and improvements to previous models. Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized the need to focus on domestic components in the production of drones. “We should make our own products. We need to have everything domestically made,” he said.

“We need to decide what we should produce first and where we should supply it,” the Belarusian leader said.
More than 30 domestically produced military products were showcased by 13 organizations of the State Authority for Military Industry of Belarus and six enterprises of the country’s defense sector. The major focus of the display was on domestic unmanned aerial systems.
