Light industry products offered to consumers must meet quality and safety requirements.
The issues of quality and safety of light industry goods sold are still relevant.
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus and the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as Gosstandart) are constantly working to identify and prevent the receipt and sale of light industry products on the domestic consumer market that do not meet the declared quality characteristics and safety requirements established by law, in particular TR CU 017/2011 "On the Safety of Light Industry Products".
Typical violations in the sale of light industry goods (including goods for children) are:
- lack of complete product identification;
- incorrect product labeling;
- lack of documents confirming quality and safety;
- presentation of falsified copies of documents;
- discrepancy in safety indicators "hygroscopicity" and "breathability";
- color instability to washing, dry friction;
- in products for newborns and linen products for children under one year of age, decorative elements are made of synthetic materials and are in direct contact with the child's skin; connecting seams with cutting sections in linen products are made on the wrong side.;
- the heel height is not observed in children's shoes, an unacceptable lining made of textile materials with an attachment of chemical fibers of more than 20% is used, an open heel part is used in nursery shoes.
Please note! According to the requirements of TR CU 017/2011, the labeling of light industry products must be reliable, readable and accessible for inspection and identification.
When making a purchase, it is necessary to make sure that there is mandatory information in Russian or Belarusian on the product (label attached to the product, product label), namely: the name of the manufacturer and / or seller, date of manufacture, composition of raw materials, address (location) of the seller, address (location) of the manufacturer, a single product circulation mark in the market of the member countries of the Customs Union (EAEU), etc.
When using clothing and other textiles, you should pay attention to the symbols, instructions on how to care for the products during operation, and other designations.
Please note! At the request of the consumer, the seller must provide him with documents confirming the quality of the goods.
Please note! The indication "environmentally friendly", "orthopedic" and other similar statements are not allowed on the product without documents confirming the accuracy of this information.
Please note! When buying goods, every consumer should carefully consider the choice, studying information about the conditions of discounts, promotions, or information about the following: "last day of the promotion", "liquidation of the warehouse/ store", "total sale", and other tricks of unscrupulous actors and not forget about their rights.
